Kate + Dave

KATE + DAVE

Stones of the Yarra Valley

You couldn't help but smile when you look at Kate + Dave on one of the happiest days of their lives... both are amazingly kind, genuine and utterly pleasant souls who share a heartfelt bond with one another. Throughout the entire day, they were excited and happy (as they should be on their wedding day of course). Seeing them both interact with each other with subtle glances and fondness would make anyone hopeful in finding their partner for life.

Stones of the Yarra Valley was the setting for Kate + Dave's wedding celebration. With all guests making the journey from afar (both Kate and Dave are based in Newcastle, NSW) - it was a wonderful experience to see two family groups joining forces and becoming one solid unit as they witnessed Kate + Dave unite in marriage.

Whilst Dave stood eagerly at the alter, Kate and her bridesmaids made their entrance to the ceremony which was officiated by family friend Father Carl Mackander. As friends and family looked on, these two were finally joined as husband and wife and exited the chapel at Stones with lots of congratulations, happiness, laughter and confetti.

As the sun set on a wonderfully happy day, the night was just beginning for the guests, as they enjoyed fine food, wine, laughter and happy tears through the reception.

It was really a wonderful day and I am so thankful we were invited to capture the memories for Kate + Dave.

Casie + Steven // One Big Party

What an amazingly epic day. Something has to be said for weddings with culture… the dance floor is always electric, bursting with energy as the party doesn’t stop until the moment the night concludes. Every moment before the couple bids farewell at the end of the night is filled with laughter, spontaneousness and frivolity. But most importantly, at the centre of the hype and craziness is two people who genuinely care and love each other, which is what has brought us to today. Continue reading

What an amazingly epic day. Something has to be said for weddings with culture... the dance floor is always electric, bursting with energy as the party doesn't stop until the moment the night concludes. Every moment before the couple bids farewell at the end of the night is filled with laughter, spontaneousness and frivolity. But most importantly, at the centre of the hype and craziness is two people who genuinely care and love each other, which is what has brought us to today.

Both Casie + Steve are two light hearted individuals. What an absolute joy it has been to get to know them both since they first locked in their wedding cinematography back in September 2013 (yes, they planned well in advance). Every correspondence was an absolute delight, so I've been looking forward to capturing their day from the moment I first met them both.

A few days before the wedding day, I completed some pre interviews with both Casie + Steve, which allowed more insight into their relationship, their thoughts and anticipation for the day ahead, plus form a backstory which builds their wedding film narrative. I could sense both of their excitement for what would happen in a few days, as they have both been long awaiting formalising their commitment to each other.

Preparations were well underway in the morning, as Steve surprised Casie with flowers and a card (happy tears were forming just after makeup was completed). Both preparations were filled with happy smiles and emotive sentiments.

Their ceremony was held at the renown St Patrick's Cathedral followed by reception at the only venue that was big enough to house their massive guest list, Lakeside Receptions. Working alongside Chris from Epic Photography, it was so much fun to observe Casie + Steven interacting with their energetic bridal party as we captured the natural interactions and celebrations of the day.

It was a hot day. A really hot day. But Casie + Steve persisted with the warm weather as excitement overwhelmed both of them, so the heat wasn't an issue. The dance floor was insane at their reception as everyone continued the party atmosphere long into the night. Cassie + Steve can seriously bust some serious moves.

We loved being a part of Casie + Steve's wedding. We hope you enjoy reliving their day as much as we enjoyed putting their wedding film together. Thank you so much you two :o)

Alana + Lachy

ALANA + LACHY

Ascot House Receptions

All good stories start with "we met at a party". Whilst it wasn't particularly love at first sight for Alana, with Lachy being persistent and determined to show off his 'charm', the two soon formed a bond which was established almost 9 years ago and an attraction developed which leads us to celebrating this momentous occasion today.

I first met with Alana for a hot chocolate at Max Brenner in Doncaster. Instantly, I knew this would be a fun relaxed day, as she was eagerly looking forward to spending the day with those that matter most to her and Lachy. Upon meeting Lachy at our second meeting, the playful banter between the two was radiating which showed they complemented each other well. Both Alana and Lachy are caring, thoughtful and a breeze to get along with. They exude a warmth which mirrored the sun shining on their actual wedding day.

With preparations underway in Williamstown, Alana looked absolutely stunning in her Annette of Melbourne dress, with floral arrangements provided by Floral Accent. Lachy looked dapper in his suit, eagerly awaiting to set eyes upon his bride to be in a heartfelt ceremony held at St Mary's Church in Williamstown.

Working alongside Daniel Sheehan from Sheehan Studios, we were able to capture the candidness of both Alana and Lachy after the ceremony together with their amazing bridal party. The Baker Boys rocked it out at their reception held at the picturesque Ascot House, where celebrations continued celebrating an amazing couple.

Thank you so much Alana + Lachy for inviting us to capture your amazing day.

Tamieka + Adrian

Tamieka + Adrian

Morrisons Winery | Echuca

On one cold morning on the other side of the world just over two years ago, I met Tamieka + Adrian for the first time. Properly met them for the first time. Being on a contiki tour across America, you can spend a day or two or three without properly meeting some of the people in your group. And I mean actually meeting with them. Having a proper conversation rather than the usual "hi, how are you?" introductions. This moment occurred for me on a trip to Alcatraz in San Fransisco, as the three of us had organised the night before. Both were sweet, easy going, fun and genuine individuals. They exuded a warmth that was welcoming and caring. These two were awesome people.

Flash forward to present... now. Some two years after that fourteen day tour along the East and West coast of America, I am beyond delighted, thrilled and elated to be sharing their wedding day and capturing their story. They are still the same down-to-earth, refreshing and positively amazing people I met two years ago.

Their wedding has been a long work-in-progress. And it shows with the amount of effort and detail they (Tamieka) put into planning the special day. Held at one of my favourite Echuca based venues, Morrisons Winery had it all... picturesque country scenery, accommodation so their family and friends who travelled from Bendigo and beyond could stay nearby to continue the festivities and of course, the fresh open country air.

The day commenced with some bowling for Adrian and the guys, whilst the girls were in hair and makeup central getting ready at The Whitehouse based in central Echuca. Tamieka was so relaxed in the morning, revelling in the company of her bridesmaids, nan and parents as she prepared to marry Adrian in a few short hours. Sarah from Seblime Mobile Hair & Makeup was on hand to pamper the girls and prepare them for the events of that afternoon.

With the ceremony underway at St Mary's Catholic Church, friends and family from afar had travelled to witness these two amazing people exchange vows and embark on the next stages of their lives together. With smiles all around and the pronunciation of husband and wife, Tamieka + Adrian exited the church with glee an continued festivities long into the night.

We had an absolutely amazing experience working alongside Sean from Mylittleeye Photography who was so easy to get along with and capture the candid moments unfolding before our eyes. Thanks Sean for being a pleasure to work with. Any photographer who stays back at the reception to help me pack up my gear is good in my books 😉

I don't think there are any words that I could use to express the amount of gratitude and pleasure it has been to capture Tamieka + Adrian's wedding day. You both are absolutely ah-mazing. I feel honoured to know you both and look forward to seeing what the future holds for you two. Who would have thought that from that simple trip to Alcatraz I would be here, filming your wedding day almost two years on having a laugh alongside both of you.

I hope you both, alongside your family and amazing friends enjoy reliving your wedding film as it has been an absolute pleasure to put it together for you xx

Steph + Ben’s Feature Film

Every once in a while, you come across a couple who are so lovely to deal with. They both not only are a perfect match for one another, but their separate identities and who they are as people emphasise how ideal they are together as a couple.

The spark between Steph + Ben began many years prior, when ‘myspace’ was the popular forum for social interaction. Steph had a few friends over for a gathering at her parent’s place, with Ben being invited along by a mutual friend. After Ben took the lead and looked up Steph’s profile the following day, they arranged to get together for a movie date. Arriving early, they both decided to go to the Melbourne Aquarium to kill some time. With Steph running around “like a crazy person” (by her own omission), Ben found this an endearing quality which soon commenced a relationship which has brought us to today… their wedding day. Every once in a while, you come across a couple who are so lovely to deal with. They both not only are a perfect match for one another, but their separate identities and who they are as people emphasise how ideal they are together as a couple.

The spark between Steph + Ben began many years prior, when 'myspace' was the popular forum for social interaction. Steph had a few friends over for a gathering at her parent's place, with Ben being invited along by a mutual friend. After Ben took the lead and looked up Steph's profile the following day, they arranged to get together for a movie date. Arriving early, they both decided to go to the Melbourne Aquarium to kill some time. With Steph running around "like a crazy person" (by her own omission), Ben found this an endearing quality which soon commenced a relationship which has brought us to today... their wedding day.

If there is one thing which I have observed through my correspondence with Ben and Steph is their precision for detail. Every moment of their wedding day was planned with handcrafted care. From the letters they would write and exchange to each other during their preparations, to the personalised vows they pledged through their heartfelt ceremony.

Family and friends united at Sacre Coeur chapel in Glen Iris, where Father Terry Wade hosted a wonderfully romantic ceremony. You couldn't wipe the smiles of excitement of Steph + Ben's faces throughout the entire day. Opting for an 'unplugged ceremony' allowed all guests to be present in the moment and witness the words exchanged between Steph + Ben - you can hear the emotion in their voices as they pledged their love for one another.

With the downpour of rain descending as the ceremony concluded, Ben + Steph made the most of the beautiful interiors of Sacre Coeur, finally being able to share some candid moments celebrating their new titles as 'husband and wife'. Fortunately the sun appeared through the clouds, as we headed to Docklands alongside photographer Shad Watson, having some fun along the way with the bridal party (pleasure working alongside you, Shad).

As the reception commenced at Rydges on SwansonDean Sindoni was the perfect choice for MC to continue the celebrations long into the night. Band Midnight Blue ensured everyone was up on the dance floor shaking their grooves to some pumped up tunes.

Thanks for such a great day Steph + Ben. It has been an absolute delight to capture your wedding day as you both have been so cooperative, kind and welcoming. We wish you all the very best for the months, years and decades ahead.

Bianca + Ali

BIANCA + ALI

Stones of the Yarra Valley

The sun was out in full form for the wedding of Bianca + Ali, as after months of planning and preparations, the day has finally arrived for the two to be united as husband and wife. From their heartfelt ceremony held at Stones of the Yarra Valley, to the energetic and celebratory reception at Manor on High in Epping, no stone was left unturned in what will long be remembered as a perfect wedding day.

Both Bianca + Ali are two kind souls. I could sense they adored each other from the first moment I met with them both. Watching them both joke around, having a laugh and being naturally comical, it was with sheer anticipation I was looking forward to capturing their marvellous day. Ali had described Bianca as "beautiful, kind and always organised". True words which suited a wonderfully considerate bride to be. Every email correspondence, phone call and liaison leading up to their wedding has been an absolute delight which reflects well on Bianca's easy going and caring nature.

The day commenced with their respective preparations - surrounded by their parents and bridal party. Excitement quivered from early hours, anticipating the events which would unfold over the next few hours. Bianca looked absolutely stunning in her dress, which was handcrafted with love from her mother, Regina. Both houses were filed with laughter as Bianca + Ali got dressed respectively and made their way to the Yarra Valley.

In the chapel of Stones of the Yarra Valley, celebrant Mary Savoia delivered a heartfelt ceremony which was a perfect summation of Bianca + Ali. Witnessed by their closest family and friends, you couldn't wipe a smile off both of their faces as they exchanged their vows and rings and ultimately were united together as husband and wife.

With the generous photo session time, this gave us ample opportunities to capture the candidness between the newly married couple, and their energetic and laugh-a-minute bridal party. Working alongside Sydney-sider Nav from Nav A Photography was a delightful experience with lots of laughs.

Bianca + Ali needed no prompting. They were simply immersed in the moment which is really reflective in their wedding feature film. It was evident the love they shared for each other, and was simply beautiful to see. The grounds at Stones of the Yarra Valley were the perfect backdrop for all to have fun, relax and just be happy.

Every moment of this day was planned with meticulous detail. By her own commission, Bianca mentioned to me they were bringing "The Yarra Valley to Epping". Their reception room at Manor on High was filled with little incidentals to help bring the Yarra Valley to the other side of the highway. Partying to the beats played by our friends at Party Hire Productions, celebrations were in full form as the night kicked on with plenty of dancing, festivities and surprises.

Bianca + Ali... it has been such a joy to get to know you both over the past few months and we are thrilled to be invited to capture your special day. We wish you all the best Bianca + Ali and are so glad we got to share part of the journey with you.
