A little while ago (at the last Valley Loves in fact back in April 2018), we ran a little competition for a couple to win a free wedding film. Whilst over the past year we have travelled far and wide to capture some pretty sensational love stories, we were wanting to give away a film to a couple getting married right in our backyard – Yarra Valley – and super stoked to award Ash + Jeandre this stellar prize.
What a great day! The weather was on point from sun up to sunset – and an absolutely gorgeous couple who were wanting to celebrate with those who mattered most to them.
Preparations were well underway on our arrival. The boys had a casual morning suiting up (Jeandre got ready alongside their son, Xavier – who stole the show in the cuteness department), whilst the girls were being pampered by Rachel Amy Makeup + Emily’s Hair Boutique. Plenty of laughs and smiles around. After a few celebratory champagnes and a surprise video message from her man – it was time for Ash to get into her stellar wedding dress (complimented with florals by Botanical Styling by Liz).
The ceremony and reception celebrations were held at The Farm Yarra Valley… what an amazing location. Nestled on 100 acres of pristine Victorian farmland, it was an absolute delight to finally capture a wedding at a venue I had heard so many positive things about. Anthea and the team were all absolutely amazing, friendly and welcoming and went above and beyond to ensure a great day was had by all.
The ceremony was officiated by Greg Evans of whom I have known since my early career, so it was great to work alongside him again as he delivered a lighthearted ceremony telling the story of how Ash + Jeandre first met and their plans moving forward as a family of three, alongside their son Xavier.
As guests enjoyed lawn games and drinks, we strolled the grounds of The Farm alongside Danielle Symons Photography capturing the candidness and antics of the newlyweds and their stellar bridal party.
The party kicked on long into the night with speeches under the stars and Andrew Loadsman fronting the tunes ensuring everyone was dancing, celebrating and making it a night to remember.
Thanks so much, Ash + Jeandre 🙂
