Ash + Brock . Chateau Dore

I take my hat off to anyone who has been navigating the waters of planning a wedding this year. Who would have thought back at the start of 2020 what we'd all endure in the weeks and months that followed.

For Ash + Brock, they were caught up in the uncertainty a lot of couples were similarly facing throughout the year, unsure of wether to hold tight for their original November date, or postpone into the further unknown. Since Ash first enquired with me back in September this year, we were taking things day by day - week by week - unsure what their day would ultimately look like. As restrictions started to ease in the few days ahead of their date, they rolled with the punches and opted to proceed - and it was beautiful.

Having not had an opportunity to meet with Ash + Brock prior to their day, all was super sweet as I knew they were in safe hands with their tribe of vendors and it would be a relaxing, sweet and amazing day.

Working alongside Jim from Justin + Jim - always an absolute pleasure and fun - we kicked things off with Brock's preparations at Ashley's mum's house about 10 mins outside of Bendigo CBD, before we arrived at Lakeside Hotel for Ash's getting ready shots.

As Demi Ryan wrapped up with her exquisite hair and makeup talents, excitement was building for Ash - as her extended family and friends who weren't able to attend the ceremony due to number restrictions were all awaiting downstairs in the foyer to get a sneaky look at the bride to be before it was go time.

Onsite at our fav Chateau Dore, after bumping into Style by Ashley K for the third time in a matter of hours (putting the final touches on the beautiful florals), it wasn't soon long before the emotive ceremony kicked off, officiated by the lovely Teagan Dole - who brought the perfect blend of humour and heart as Ash + Brock said I do.

Wandering around the beautiful grounds at Chateau Dore afterwards with the newlyweds was easy - these two were so natural and candid being all loved up and immersing themselves in the moment - making them a dream to capture.

Ash and Brock had organised to meet their guests at The Woodhouse - a perfect opportunity to continue the celebrations with those who matter most to them, as well as share in a couple of mojitos (thanks guys lol).

Afterwards, Jim + I caught up with the couple for an epic sunset shoot on Victoria Hill - champagne showers aplenty, lots of laughs and a fitting end to a perfect day.

Thanks Ash + Brock for a great day.
