Once upon a time in a far, far away land… there was a small village named Yannathan where there was always green grass growing and cows mooing.
Here, lived Vaughn with his family. Across the ditch, a kiwi (Kayla) was venturing to her new home Australia with her family. For many years, both Kayla and Vaughn crossed paths without knowing it until one night at Monkey Motel (true story) their paths crossed which has lead us to today.
Private property weddings are aces. Kayla + Vaughn were married on their families farm out in Yannathan (country Victoria), and it was a day long to be remembered with stellar celebrations, laughs, love and amazing golden light.
Working alongside Mike Semple Photography for the day, I knew this day would be ultra cruisy, full of good banter and laughs as we captured the in-between moments of Kayla + Vaughn’s morning shenanigans in their respective family houses. Vaughn and the boys were all suited out by YSG & Co looking mighty dapper. The girls were pampered by Beauty by Becki and Sin + Sar Hair Studio and were all ready for a cheeky champers by the time of our arrival. Kayla looked absolutely stunning in her Amante Bridal gown – taking the breath away from her grandparents and parents who were both there during these treasured moments.
As family and friends arrived onsite, Kate Haley Civil Celebrant officiated a fun, light hearted ceremony in the middle of one of the paddocks on the farm – so many laughs through their ceremony including a custom fairytale told to guests by friends Alana + Snead.
As guests enjoyed the surrounds and kicked off the party under the tipi (TipiKata), we headed offsite briefly for some cheeky snaps and enjoying some quiet moments in the country surrounds. The party continued well into the night after the most perfect sunset – so many good times throughout the entire day.
Thanks so much Kayla + Vaughn.
