By their own ommissions, both Lauren + Brett met in a very unromantic setting… a pub in Port Hedland. After this chance encounter, they began seeing each other on a regular basis, and before too long they made it official by confirming they were indeed a “couple”, after basically spending every moment with each other for the past six months.
I had a marvellous time capturing their special day alongside bestie Monica from Love by Shaeat one of my most favourite places along Murray River, Tindarra Resort. The weather was a bit unpredictable with a last minute switch-a-roo for the ceremony location from outside to in, but to their credit – both Lauren + Brett embraced every aspect of their wedding day and had a darn good time partying it up with all that matter most to them.
Brett and the boys looked ultra-dapper in their Roger Davidsuits, listening to beats whilst getting ready in their private villa onsite at Tindarra. Laughs were non stop. As hair and makeup were nearing completion thanks to Mintme Salon, Lauren + her bride tribe were all enjoying a few flutes of bubbly before it was time for Lauren to get into her stunning Stella York dress, accompanied by beautiful florals from Wallingford Flowers.
A heartfelt ceremony by David Callananwent underway without a hitch, as the story of Lauren + Brett was told to their family and friends. As the weather soon turned absolutely perfect just as the ceremony concluded – we were blessed with perfect light for some candid pics around Tindarra, as well as travelling offsite to Junction Moamafor a few drinks and snaps with the bridal party.
As guests were savouring the picturesque weather as the afternoon turned into dusk, celebrations kicked on well into the night with Essence Duoproviding the tunes ensuring all were on the dancefloor ASAP busting out some dance-offs (in which both Monica + I mayyyy have participated in).
Lauren + Brett – you both are absolutely amazing people. What a great day. It’s hard to believe we call this a “job” – you two were perfect.
