It’s been a long wait, I know, but I am now ever so pleased to release the wedding film of Mary + Trung… two kind souls exuding with warmth, laughter and humour. We first met Mary + Trung back in January at the Ideal Bride Wedding Expo, held at Crown Casino. Instantly there was a connection, and after returning on the second day of the expo, they had secured their cinematography and photography coverage and we couldn’t wait to get started in creating a film for this amazing couple.
It all started off with a light dinner catch up some weeks after the expo, where we had a lengthy conversation about their plans for their day and started to organise their pre shoot and wedding day coverage. Both Mary + Trung were full of energy, enjoyed a laugh and clearly were suited for one another… as Mary explains in her pre wedding interview, they are polar opposites of each other… he’s quiet whilst she’s loud. lol
The pre wedding shoot was held in Yarra Valley, as we worked alongside one of our favourite photographers, Monica from Love By Shae, capturing the naturalness of both Mary + Trung. What gorgeous light we were blessed with on the Sunday afternoon – and this is truly reflected in the images and video captured on the day.
The day prior to their wedding, they had the tea ceremonies for both families – this was an exceptional experience to capture.. It is always a great joy to see two respective families embracing their traditions – a few happy tears of joy were sprinkled throughout the morning.
Following a day of celebrations, early rises were in store for all for the day of all days… the wedding day. The boys + girls were both getting ready in separate rooms at Amity Apartments in South Yarra – the boys were all cool, calm and collected preparing for a fun day ahead. Trung looked very smart in his suit and bow tie, laughing alongside his groomsmen. The environment at the brides preparations was equally relaxed and tranquil… a definite highlight was Mary’s father serenading her by singing songs (Sunrise, Sunset and the “here comes the bride” song). A touching moment as Mary was getting fitted into her gorgeous Tsarina Bridal dress.
The church was set at St Dominic’s in Camberwell, where Mary + Trung were officially joined together as husband and wife. Celebrating with the couple after the ceremony, we captured the candid moments in Reed Gardens which we were absolutely blessed with the sun light shining down.
The reception, at Vogue Ballroom, was where the party really kicked into full swing… Mary + Trung, together with their closest family and friends were dancing it up on the dance floor – some smooth moves pulled by their guests and a dance off kicked off the celebrations well into the night.
It was evident the love Mary + Trung have for each other, and it was an absolute pleasure to create their wedding highlight film for this gorgeous couple.
